Cartel Louis XIV period in Boulle marquetry
Large cartel on its openwork applique console, Boulle marquetry of brown tortoiseshell and brass. The console, also inlaid with brown scales, brass, blackened wood and pewter. Beautiful ornamentation of finely chiseled and gilded bronzes. The original movement signed Lenoir in Lyon. Exhaust of the nineteenth century. Movement revised and guaranteed; perfect working condition. Ringing at the passage of hours and half-hours. Isaac Lenoir, Lyon watchmaker received master in 1730. Work period XVIII, circa 1730/1735.
