Persian KASHKULY rug with coat of arms: signed

Persian carpet knotted by the KASHKULY nomads (GASHGAI) in central-southern Iran - Represents the coat of arms of the Pahlavi rulers, dynasty of the last Shah. The square shape was perhaps chosen to perfectly frame the design and make this rug suitable for hanging like a picture. It is however robust and of excellent manufacture, suitable for constant use on the floor.
It has been signed by weaver.
