Measures width. 62 x depth 37 x H. 84 This magnificent Louis XV chest of drawers is a splendid example of Neapolitan cabinet-making, and represents the maximum expression of Neapolitan production of the 18th century. The surface, entirely veneered in veined walnut, is characterized by the typical decoration of the Neapolitan eighteenth century. The classic eight-petal rosettes, which are repeated in the center of the drawers, sides and top, are highlighted by elegant piping in bois de rose arranged 'at the head'. The edge of the top is enriched with a maple decoration. Finally, it is worth mentioning the beautiful movement of the front and sides, with the wedge-shaped shoulders typical of the Neapolitan cabinetmakers of the period. The perfect proportions, the slender line with the high and curved legs and the small size make it extremely elegant.
